Child Fires Gun at Bus Stop

Clark County School District Police are investigating after a seven-year-old boy reportedly fired a gun at a bus stop Friday morning. It happened around 8:30 a.m. in the southwest valley, as the child was waiting for the school bus at the intersection of Misty Haze Street and Wigwam. Police say the boy fired a 9mm handgun into an unoccupied vehicle. No one was injured. The gun was recovered and the boy kept out of school for the day at Ries Elementary. School police say the child can not be charged because he is under the age of 8, but his parents could face potential charges.
