City Leaders Meet to Discuss Budget Problems

The Las Vegas City Council met today to talk about the budget crisis and the declining general fund. The city is facing a revenue shortfall of up to $30 million in fiscal year 2010 and up to $150 million over the next five years. The city says 83 jobs could be impacted.  Council members are considering several proposals to trim spending in order to make a balanced budget.  The event, which took place at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, was open to the public.
