Day Care Center Closed After Drowning

The drowning of a one-year-old boy has led authorities to order a temporary shut down of a North Las Vegas daycare pending the outcome of a criminal probe. North Las Vegas police spokeswoman Chrissie Coon says the one-year-old and a three-year-old boy fell into a backyard pool yesterday afternoon at Marisela's Family Day Care, a licensed facility in a single-story home at 47-31 Gunlock Circle. The boys were taken to University Medical Center where the one-year-old was pronounced dead. The three-year-old was reported in good condition late yesterday afternoon.
