Halverson to Testify Before Grand Jury

Suspended District Judge Elizabeth Halverson is expected to testify next Tuesday before a grand jury that's hearing charges against her husband. Forty-nine-year-old Edward Halverson is facing attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon for allegedly beating the judge with a frying pan at the couple's home back on September 4th. Elizabeth Halverson remains hospitalized recovering from injuries she sustained in the attack, including a fractured skull. She will temporarily leave the hospital to testify. Edward Halverson is scheduled in court for a preliminary hearing on September 25th, unless the grand jury indicts him before that.
