Hearing Date Set For Slaying Suspect

The man accused in a deadly party shooting remains held on 500-thousand dollars bail until his preliminary hearing. Twenty-one-year-old Eric Sandoval made his first appearance in Justice Court on Thursday,

where Judge Karen Bennett-Haron set the amount and ordered him placed on house arrest if he makes bail. Police say Sandoval was arrested soon after the early Sunday morning shooting at a home near Alexander Road and Durango Drive. Nineteen-year-old Nester Lee was killed and five others were wounded. According to a police report, Sandoval denied shooting anyone, but police say blood was on his hands and his clothing. Sandoval's preliminary hearing is set for September 19th. He faces one count of murder and multiple counts of attempted murder and battery.
