A hearing has been scheduled to discuss progress in the divorce case of Governor Jim Gibbons and his wife Dawn. Carson City District Judge Francis Doherty has scheduled the August 21st management conference, which will bring the couple and their attorneys together. Last month, action on the divorce stopped in an effort to reach a settlement. As part of the agreement, Dawn Gibbons agreed to move out of the governor's mansion and into the guest house on mansion grounds in Carson City. The governor, who had been living in the couple's Reno home, moved back into the mansion. In May, the governor filed papers to end the couple's 22-year marriage, citing incompatibility. He has denied allegations that he had an affair with the estranged wife of a Reno podiatrist. Gibbons was also photographed in Reno with a married woman who posed for "Playboy" magazine in 1989. The governor says the two were just friends.
