All three members of Nevada's House delegation voted in favor of a sweeping housing relief bill. The full House approved the measure that will help struggling homeowners avoid foreclosure. The plan, which passed on a vote of 272-to-152, provides a lifeline to ailing mortgage finance giants Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae along with about four-billion-dollars in federal grants to help communities buy and repair foreclosed homes. The bill now goes to the Senate. If approved, President Bush has indicated he will sign the bill. Nevada has among the worst foreclosure rates in the nation.
