For the fifth straight month, Nevada casinos have seen a drop in annual revenues. New figures by the state Gaming Control Board show a 15% drop in casino wins during May, for a total of just over $969 million. Las Vegas Strip casinos took a hit of more than 16%, while casinos in North Las Vegas and the Boulder Strip suffered a 30% revenue drop. Downtown Las Vegas casinos were down by more than 17%. The state collected just under $64 million in gaming tax revenue during May, a drop of more than 23% from a year earlier. The taxrevenues were nearly 20% below projections by the state Economic Forum.
