RTC Approves New Budget

The Clark County Regional Transportation Commission will have a little less money in next year's budget. The RTC board has approved spending 633-million-dollars in the new fiscal year that begins in July. That's one percent below the current budget, due to flat fuel and sales tax revenue. The budget includes funding to complete the 53 mile Las Vegas Beltway, building the new Galleria interchange with U.S. 95 in Henderson, and improving I-15 from Lamb Boulevard to the Northern Beltway. The RTC will also work on several new mass transit projects, including "park and ride" facilities in the northwest valley, and a bus connector for downtown Las Vegas.
