Residents Mourn Victim In Park Shooting

Friends and family paid their last respects to the young man who they knew as "Superman." Services were held Wednesday night for 19-year-old Chris Luscombe, one of two victims in last month's shooting at Baskin Park. Luscombe, a football player and graduate of Clark High School, died June 25th after being hospitalized for more than two weeks at University Medical Center. Police say Luscombe and 18-year-old David Miramontes were hanging out at the West Oakey Boulevard park on June 8th, when shots were fired. Miramontes was killed instantly, while Luscombe was critically wounded. The man accused in the shootings, 21-year-old Jesse Cole, will face additional charges when he returns to court July 15th.
