The parents of the toddler who died after being left inside a sport utility vehicle for 17 hours have been indicted on murder and child abuse charges. Four-year-old Jason Rimer was found dead July 9th, and the Clark County Coroner's office says the boy died of environmental heat stress. A grand jury has charged parents Stanley and Colleen Rimer with one count each of second-degree murder and six counts of abuse or neglect. The indictment also alleges the Rimers' four other minor children lived in a filthy and cluttered home, were given minimal food, and suffered verbal and physical punishment. The couple is scheduled to enter pleas on the charges July 30th.
