Suspect Captured After Bizarre Chase

A local man is in custody facing multiple charges after a bizarre traffic chase in North Las Vegas. Police say it began Thursday afternoon, when officers tried to pull over the suspect in his Mazda pickup truck, after he made an improper right turn and nearly hit a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The suspect led police on a brief chase, in which he hit several parked cars, drove onto landscaping, and even hit a fire hydrant. He then reportedly ditched the pickup and ran into a nearby apartment complex, where he stole a bicycle and tried to flee. He was captured on the bike a short distance away. The suspect, identified as 23-year-old Adam Isaacson, now faces 17 charges, including felony evasion of a police officer, burglary, and possession of a stolen vehicle, along with more than a dozen traffic misdemeanors. Police later discoverd that Isaacson had three outstanding felony warrants and was driving a stolen vehicle during the pursuit.
