Suspicious Package At Red Rock Resort

Police say several employees at Red Rock Resort were treated for minor illnesses, after an abandoned package was discovered inside the parking garage. Metro Officer Jose Montoya says just after 7 p.m. Wednesday, police were called out to the casino on West Charleston Boulevard and the Las Vegas Beltway, after the pillowcase was found. Police say the case was taken to the security office. It contained credit cards and a drivers license. But Montoya says a strange odor came out of the bag, and at least five Red Rock employees complained of headaches and nausea. All five were treated at the scene. The casino was not evacuated, but access to the parking garage was restricted while the investigation went on. Police will look at surveillance tape to determine where the pillowcase came from.
