Thieves Targeting Flat Screen TVs

Metro Police are investigating a series of burglaries involving the theft of flat-screen TVs at local businesses. Police say the suspects target stores with large front glass windows and flat panel televisions in the lobby areas. Once the glass is broken, the robbers take the TVs and any other item that can be grabbed in a hurry. In most cases, they're in and out in less than one minute. Police have surveillance video from some of the businesses that shows the thieves. One suspect has a husky build, with a shaved head and appears to be in his 20s to late 30s. He was wearing a dark pull-over sweatshirt and hoodie with a star emblem in a circular design on the front, along with jeans and dark gloves. Anyone with info on these robberies should call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
