The Southern Nevada Health District has confirmed two more deaths due to complications from the H1N1 virus. The two women, ages 61 and 44, each had underlying medical conditions. The total number of H1N1-related deaths in Clark County is now at 20. Nationwide, more than 1,000 people have died from the H1N1, or "swine flu."
The Health District will host two H1N1 virus immunization clinics this weekend for those in priority groups. The inhaled mist and shot version will be offered to pregnant women, medical services personnel, and young people between the ages of six months and 24-years-old. The clinics are scheduled for the Health District's headquarters on Shadow Lane and the Henderson Public Health Center Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
