Snow could be bringing more water to the area in the future. The Southern Nevada Water Authority says their new plan will create snow near Elko expected to trickle to Lincoln County and be pumped to southern Nevada from there. The water authority has already approved spending around 900-thousand dollars for snowmakers near Elko.
