The Nevada SPCA operates a no-kill animal sanctuary, promotes humane education, makes referrals for lower-cost spay/neuter and vaccination services to the public, and challenges people to be the best possible guardians for the companion animals in their care.

Adoption hours: 11am-5pm Friday & Saturday, 11am-4pm Monday through Thursday, and closed on Sundays and major holidays.

Mikey (Adopted)

1 year old primarily longhair Dachshund. Great with other dogs, quiet in nature, and adjusting well with three legs. UPDATE: Thank you for reminding your listeners about the very sweet dogs who are awaiting their forever homes at Nevada SPCA. Mikey was adopted by a terrific lady on Friday morning. (Reminder: He is the Longhair Dachshund mix who had been adjusting very well to three legs after arriving to us with a crushed front leg, probably as the result of being hit and run over by a car.) His new sister is a beautiful Miniature Schnauzer and they were exceptional together. Thanks, Doug
