Nevada Republicans hope to wrap up their state convention next month. Party officials have set July 26th as the date to resume the GOP gathering that was halted in late April, when national convention delegates could not be chosen in time. Republican leaders have blamed supporters of presidential hopeful Ron Paul, who made up a large number of the 13 hundred convention delegates. As with the April 26th convention, the GOP will meet at Reno's Peppermill Hotel. Leaders hope to choose their delegates in time for the national Republican Convention this September in St. Paul, Minnesota. Paul came in second during January's state GOP caucus, while presumptive Republican presidential hopeful John McCain placed third. Mitt Romney, who has dropped out of the race, was the winner of Nevada's caucus.
