Javon Walker Robbery Suspect In Court

The man accused in the Las Vegas beating and robbery of Oakland Raiders receiver Javon Walker made his first court appearance today. Thirty-year-old Arfat Fadel appeared on charges of kidnapping and domestic battery in an unrelated case. A preliminary hearing in that case was set for July 9th. Fadel is due back in court tomorrow in the Walker case, where he faces felony charges of kidnapping, robbery, and battery. The NFL player was found unconscious and beaten last week in a neighborhood behind the Las Vegas Strip. Police say Walker was also robbed of more than $100,000 in cash and jewelry. Walker claimed he was attacked by three men who came to his room at the Bellagio, but police and hotel officials say that wasn't the case. Investigators say Walker voluntarily got into Fadel's vehicle. Walker had been seen partying at various Las Vegas nightclubs on the nights before the attack. Police are still looking for another "person of interest" in the case.
