The Clark County School District is bracing for staff cuts. Superintendent Walt Rulffes says state budget cuts approved in last week's special Legislative session means about 140 support personnel will be let go. Rulffes says there are 120 other job openings available, and there's a chance many of the laid-off workers will be moved to those available slots. Rulffes says the district will face more budget cuts, including a 14-percent reduction for the 2009-2010 school year. That translates into a loss of 130-million dollars.
