Powder Found Inside Foreclosed Home

A white powder found spread inside a foreclosed home on the west side of valley caused a scare. Metro Police says a bank agent made the discovery Wednesday afternoon while inspecting the house in a cul-de-sac on Festivity Circle, near Charleston and Cimarron. Metro's armor unit was notified and the street closed off, as officers put on protective suits and took samples from the home. Police believe the powder is some type of pesticide that was used to disinfect the house, since the residence had been vacant for several months.
