It appears Nevada is still free of the swine flu. As of Monday night there were no cases of the virus reported in the state. The outbreak has killed 149 people in Mexico and has also spread to Canada and Europe. In the U.S., there are now at least 48 confirmed cases in five states including California, Texas, Kansas, Ohio and New York. The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention says the number and severity of swine flu cases in the U.S. will likely rise.
