An auto-bicycle accident in the southeast valley left one man dead and another in custody. It happened shortly before 4 p.m. Monday on Desert Inn near Sandhill. Police say the bicyclist, a security guard at Boulder Station, was apparently riding home from work when he was hit from behind by a Suburban in the far right lane. After the collision, the rider was dragged for a short distance. He was rushed to UMC, but reportedly died on the way to the hospital. The driver of the Suburban was arrested for felony DUI causing death.
