Complaint Against Councilwoman Dismissed

A conflict of interest complaint against Las Vegas City Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian has been dismissed by the state Ethics Commission. Commission investigator Mike Vavra says their was no evidence to support claims by Jon Jackson that Tarkanian had a conflict of interest when she voted to deny construction of an eight-foot wall at Rancho Circle. Jackson charged Tarkanian did not disclose that her daughter, Jodie Diamant, lived there and was a member of the homeowner's association. Vavra says Diamant's property is not adjacent to the site owned by Jackson.
