Las Vegas Traffic Getting Worse

Getting from here-to-there in Las Vegas is taking longer. A study by the Texas Transportation Institute shows traffic congestion has become worse in the city. Commuters were stuck in rush-hour traffic an average of 44 hours per traveler annually in 2007. The delays in 2007 for Las Vegas are an increase of an hour from the previous year. It's estimated that each traveler in the city used up 30 gallons of gas waiting in traffic. Nationwide the average driver was stalled in rush-hour traffic for just over 36 hours in 2007, led by Los Angeles, which is the worst, but showed some improvement.
