Federal Bill Promotes Vegas-Style Tourism



Las Vegas tourism will get a special spotlight thanks to the Travel Promotion Act now working its way through Congress. The measure, which passed the Senate today and will go to the House next week, uses the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority marketing model to help promote tourism for the nation as a whole. Nevada Senators Harry Reid and John Ensign both pushed the bill, which they say will help Nevada's struggling tourism industry.
