Soldier In Afghanistan Had Ties to Vegas



A 30-year-old soldier killed in Afghanistan on Friday had ties to Las Vegas. Private First Class Kimble Han of Lehi, Utah attended Cheyenne High School. Han enlisted in the Army on January 17, 2008. The Defense Department says he was deployed to Iraq in February and his unit was sent to Afghanistan in May. He was scheduled to return to the U.S. in January or February. He had married his high school sweetheart in February of this year. Han died of wounds suffered after an improvised explosive device blew up his vehicle.
