An overnight fire in the northwest valley sent five people to the hospital. It broke out around midnight at an apartment complex near Cheyenne and Rancho. Investigators believe the fire started in the kitchen of one unit. Two children, ages 3 and 5, were lowered to fire crews. A man and a women with severe burns were sent to the hospital, and one neighbor was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. One unit was completely destroyed and another sustained water damage.
