Prive' Nightclub Files for Bankruptcy

The Prive' nightclub at the Planet Hollywood Resort has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The Miami-based owners made the filing this week in a Florida court, reportedly listing less than $50,000 in assets against $1 million to $10 million in liabilities. The Prive' and its next-door sister lounge, The Living Room, both recently reopened under a 90-day liquor license while Metro Police complete a background check on the new ownership. The clubs were shut down last summer when the county pulled their liquor license due to illegal activity on the premises, including prostitution and lewd conduct. The Planet Hollywood was also fined $500,000 by the state for failing to properly oversee the clubs.
