The Las Vegas City Council could vote on the construction of a new city hall as soon as December 2nd. Mayor Oscar Goodman thinks an ordinance allowing the city of borrow necessary funding for the project could be presented at next week's council meeting. From there, city staff will make inquiries on financing. If acceptable terms can be found, the council could vote on moving forward. The city has gone down that path in the past and was unable to secure a low enough interest rate.
