The former local supervisor behind the group ACORN's illegal voter registration program in Nevada will spend three years on probation. Christopher Edwards was sentenced today in connection with the so-called "blackjack" program during the 2008 election cycle. The program provided ACORN employees cash incentives for getting more than 21 people to fill out voter registration forms. The 33-year-old Edwards cut a plea deal with prosecutors in August to have felony charges reduced to misdemeanor counts. In exchange, he will testify against ACORN's former regional supervisor, Amy Busefink.
